Jerald Mitchell
Jerald "Jerry" Mitchell, 66, of Windsor died Monday, March 17, at Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins after a long illness.
He was born Oct. 29, 1936, in Sewal, Iowa, to Ralph E. and Lelah (Halfhill) Mitchell.
Mr. Mitchell attended school in Sewal and Corydon and graduated in 1954.
On Dec. 28, 1956, he married Nellie Jane Camp.
Mr. Mitchell and his wife moved to Colorado in 1959 and lived in Loveland, Fort Collins and then Windsor. He worked in home construction and trailer factories for several years, and in 1966 began employment at Colorado State University Facilities Department. He was active in his church, loved CSU athletics and belonged to the Northern Colorado Angus Association.
Survivors are his wife, Nellie of Windsor; two daughters, Rebecca Halfhill and husband Steve of Yoder, Wyo., and Cindy Brock and fiance Gene Firestein of Windsor; two sons, Jeff Mitchell and wife Kathy and Tim Mitchell and fiance Billy Rosen, all of Fort Collins; and eight grandchildren, Justin Halfhill, Rachelle and Tara Rottman, Daniel Brock, Chadd Robbins, and Nick, Addam and Katlyn Mitchell. His parents are deceased.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Bethel Lutheran Church, 4th and Walnut, Windsor. Interment will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens.
Friends may visit from 9-10 a.m. Friday at Bethel Lutheran.
