Clifford and Betty had been to Florida to celebrate their 24 wedding anniversity. Return home about Aptil the first and all was well. A few days before his death, he had gone to see the Doctor about a pain in his shoulder and left arm. The Doctor thought it might be some rheumatism. On Sat. night the 25,1998 Dean and Marge came over and brought a birthday cake and we celebrated his birthday early. On Sunday he ask that we not go to early mass and go in the evening as he was tired. He walked the dog, came in the house and set down and died a very peaceful quite death, much like he lived. I was in the basememt working and when I came up stairs I found him, he was smiling. He would have been 88 years old the next day, April 27. His funeral was held at St. Peters Church and he was cremated and his ashes are at Linn Grove.
